Having grown up around the stone industry his whole life, Aaron Powell knew that he wanted to be a stone fabricator at the early age of 5 when he was asked to write down "what he wanted to be when he grew up" for his class time capsule. He stuck to that dream and quickly learned all the ins and outs of the industry and made stone fabricating his craft. He worked for a granite company as a fabricator and installer throughout high school and for a few years after graduating in 2016 but it wasn't until 2019 when he decided to start Powell Granite & Stone LLC, fabricating out of a small shop in New Washington, Indiana where he spent lots of late nights working. After only being open for a year, he outgrew that shop and decided to build a new fabrication shop on his family farm out of Madison, Indiana in 2020.
